Miss California Rodeo Salinas Contest Opens February 14th
Applications are due by Monday, May 6th, 2019
SALINAS, CA, January 30, 2019 – Young ladies who are passionate about the western lifestyle and promoting the rodeo industry can run for the title of Miss California Rodeo Salinas and become an ambassador for the largest professional rodeo in the state. Entries for the 2019 contest open on February 14th and close on May 6th. The competition is open to young women between 18 and 21 years of age who are representing either a recognized horsemen’s organization or another recognized non-commercial community organization. The winner will travel to various events promoting the California Rodeo Salinas throughout the year.
The contest consists of horsemanship, personality and appearance and scholarship categories; it starts on Wednesday, July 17th and Miss California Rodeo Salinas 2018 Valerie Costanza along with Rodeo President Brent Eastman will present the winner of the 2019 contest with her title on Thursday, July 18th at the beginning of the first rodeo performance. The winner will receive a $2500 academic scholarship, a gold and silver trophy belt buckle and the use of a two-horse trailer for one year along with many other gifts and the privilege of wearing the Miss California Rodeo Salinas gold and silver tiara. “I have thoroughly enjoyed attending events and promoting the California Rodeo so far and I look forward to meeting more people as I represent the western lifestyle and the largest rodeo in California,” said Miss California Rodeo Salinas 2018 Valerie Costanza.
