Nashville Music Producer Sharla McCoy Jumps on the Wagon to Produce One of the Hottest Trends in the Equine World…Draft Crosses

Sharla McCoy is the ultimate ranch-girl. She wears many hats including business owner, Country Music producer, wife, mother, equestrian enthusiast, and cancer survivor/advocate.

McCoy Productions, Inc.

She is the owner and operator of Nashville-based McCoy Productions, Inc. working with country artists, radio, record labels, and management firms for 30 + years. McCoy is our connection to the stars and many of her productions have been featured here on The Wrangler Network.

McCoy says ” I love Country Music and feel so blessed and privileged to have the opportunity to do what I love – it’s not a job…it’s my heart.”

Equestrian

But she also has another heartbeat…horses. A former Miss Rodeo, Sharla has been riding horses since she was a small child. Over the last ten years, she, her husband Shane, and their daughter have been especially drawn to blackface Blue Roan Quarter Horses and began investing their time in searching for Blue Mares. McCoy says “Foaling time at our ranch is an exciting time and probably one of my favorite times of the year”. Our Blue Mares are gentle and allow us to imprint/bond with their babies early on”.

While going to elite specialty sales or watching them online it did not take long for them to recognize the demand for Blue Roans and that one of the hottest trends out there is Blue Roan Draft Crosses.

The McCoy’s are the proud owners of TIMBER, a magnificent blue roan Percheron stallion that is getting some national attention. TIMBER is a gorgeous horse boasting many attributes: Attractive Head, Small Ears, All Black Points, Square Bodied, Straight Legged, Short Backed, Thick Mane and Tail, 17 HH, 2,100 Lbs., Docile Temperament, Homozygous Black, Sire to 80% Blue Roan on Solid Color Mares, plus he is broke to ride. TIMBER is now standing for stud service at NPEC for the 2023 season. If you are looking to add color, temperament, and muscle to your foals consider TIMBER for your mare.
