News & Notes from the Rodeo Trail, April 5

Country Music artist Shea Fisher-Durfey, the wife of 2016 PRCA World Champion Tie-Down Roper Tyson Durfey, recently released a video to accompany her new single “Don’t Rush.” “I wrote the song in 2012 when Tyson and I first started dating,” Fisher-Durfey said. “The song is really about our love story. The overall message of the song, which I think is super important in today’s time, is we just get so caught up in the busy-ness of life and we don’t take individual moments. We just try and rush through them. This song is about enjoying the small things in a relationship and in life and embracing every step.” When Fisher-Durfey was 16, she signed a recording contract in Australia and had four No. 1 songs in her native country. Fisher-Durfey moved to the U.S. and signed a record deal. The Durfeys have two daughters, Praise Royal, 4, and Risyn Breeze Durfey, 2. Shea is expecting the couple’s third child in June. Fisher-Durfey performed as an opening act at the 2015 and 2016 National Finals Rodeos in Las Vegas. To listen to “Don’t Rush,” visit www.sheafisher.com.
