Kansas City Outlaws: 345
Nashville Stampede: 172.5

FORT WORTH, Texas – Just one day after upsetting the No. 1 team in the league, the Kansas City Outlaws remained electric as PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Team Series competition continued Saturday in Fort Worth, Texas, going a torrid 4-for-5 to defeat the Nashville Stampede in commanding form.

Riding in the leadoff position for the Stampede was 2018 PBR World Champion Kaique Pacheco (Itatiba, Brazil). The “Ice Man,” however was melted by Nature Boy (D&H Cattle Company), tossed to the dirt in 4.69 seconds.

Quick to capitalize on Nashville’s stumble, Koltin Hevalow (Smithville, Missouri) converted in the bottom of the frame, riding God Bless America (Hoefer/Berryman/Ogden) to give the Outlaws an early 86.25-point lead. Nashville wouldn’t remain quiet for long.

In the very next out, Matt Triplett (Canton, South Dakota) outlasted Hawkeye (Jane Clark/Gene Owen) for 83.25 points to put the Stampede within 3 points of the lead.

The Kansas City Outlaws quickly extended their lead, as Marcus Mast (Middlebury, Indiana) covered Hurts So Good (David Wolfe) for a crucial 88 points to extend the J.W. Hart-led outfit’s lead to 91 points.

In the top of the third, Joao Henrique Lucas (Bastos, Brazil) was keen to give Nashville the team’s first lead as he climbed aboard Happy Gambler (Sho-Me Rodeo). Matching the powerful animal athlete jump-for-jump, Lucas was marked a game-best 89.25 points, decimating Kansas City’s lead to a mere 1.75 points.

In the bottom of the frame, the Outlaws sustained their first buckoff as Dalton Rudman (Wellington, Utah) was sent airborne by Falcon Eddie (Lari Crane/Gene Owen) in a close 6.77 seconds.

Nashville then looked to 12-time PBR World Finals qualifier Ryan Dirteater (Hulbert, Oklahoma) to deliver the team’s go-ahead score. Dirteater, however, couldn’t seize the moment, upended by Twisted Feather (Blake Sharp/Michael Floyd/Cain Kobert) in a heart-breaking 6.75 seconds.

In the bottom of the penultimate round of outs, Rafael Henrique dos Santos (Sebastianopolis, Brazil) reclaimed Kansas City’s early momentum, dominating Pookie Holler (Dakota Rodeo/Brian & Ashley Pintar/Clay Struve/Chad Berger) en route to an 89-point score.

With the scoreboard reading 263.25-172.5 as the fifth got underway, three-time PBR World Champion Silvano Alves (Pilar do Sul, Brazil) was in a must-ride position for Nashville, needing a score of 91 points or more to keep the team’s hopes of victory alive. Alves was unable to keep pace with Yellowknife (Blake Sharp/Michael Floyd), bucked off in 6.13 seconds to deliver the victory to Kansas City.

In what was the icing on the victory cake, reigning PBR Rookie of the Year Bob Mitchell clung to Uncle Gangster (Pick-It Hammers) as the clock ticked 8, awarded 81.75 points to increase the team’s margin of victory to 172.5 points, doubling Nashville’s score.

The Kansas City Outlaws are now a perfect 2-0 at PBR Rattler Days and 11-13 this season. They will play the Missouri Thunder (1-1 | 12-12) on Championship Sunday inside Dickies Arena.

The Nashville Stampede, scheduled to play the Arizona Ridge Riders (0-2 | 12-11-1) on Sunday, are now 0-2 in Fort Worth and 5-18-1 this season.
