PBR Pick ‘Em Morning Line – Lincoln Round 2

By: Slade Long

Championship Sunday of the PBR Cooper Tires Invitational from Lincoln, Nebraska, airs at 8 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network.

Claudio Montanha on 698 Crossover:

This is easily the matchup with the most upside. Crossover was the highest-marked bull in the first round. Montanha had an 85.5-point ride, which puts him squarely in the middle of the pack with 17 qualified rides in Round 1. He could use a little extra bull power to get him to the top. Plus, Montanha has ridden this bull twice this year for 88.75 and 89 points.

Eduardo Aparecido on 415 Rag Doll:

Aparecido rode his first round bull and has almost a free pass here. Rag Doll has been ridden seven times in 11 career outs, and he hasn’t even been to a UTB event yet or faced many UTB level riders.

Kaique Pacheco on 1448 Last Chance:

Pacheco should have the edge here in this matchup. He’s pulled to within 627 points of Leme, and he’s in position to grab more today. He had the second lowest score last night, but could improve on that here. This bull really is his last regular-season chance to close the gap, and Last Chance is weak against the better riders he has faced. Andrew Alvidrez won the first round on him.

Boudreaux Campbell on 431 Reckless Red:

Campbell placed third in Round 1, and he could not have drawn better in Round 2. This bull gives him the higher odds of a qualified ride than any other bull in the round. They haven’t met before, but Reckless Red is 0-4 against left-handed riders and is 6-7 overall against mostly faced lower level guys. He should be a slam dunk for any PBR Finals-caliber, left-handed rider. Thiago Salgado was 86.5 points on him last night.

Ramon de Lima on 1628 Hickory:

Lima is another guy who already has a score on the board and has what looks like a pretty easy draw here. Hickory has been ridden by three of the six riders he’s faced, and he is 0-2 against left-handed riders.

Mauricio Gulla Moreira on 34 Soup in a Group:

This matchup is similar to Montanha on Crossover. Soup in a Group is a little harder to ride than a lot of the bulls in this round, but he can also deliver big scores. Moreira was 84 points in the first round, and is in 15th place already. He needs a bigger score to advance to the championship round.

Joao Ricardo Vieira on 1518 Uncle Gangster:

Vieira didn’t ride his first round bull, so he essentially needs a round win here. He’s ridden this bull twice before, but not for round-winning type scores. However, the last two rides made on Uncle Gangster were over 88 points. This bull is similar to Soup in a Group. He’s equally difficult to ride, and possibly worth a point or two more than the easier bulls in this round.

Cooper Davis on 4101 Prayer Warrior:

Davis did get 85.5 points in the first round, but if he wants to win this event he will have to do it the hard way. This bull is tougher to ride than many of the bulls out tonight, and he’s especially difficult for right-handed riders. He’s 10-0 against them.
