PRCA Leader Dustin Boquet Eyes Fort Mohave X Bulls Win

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Competitors on the PRCA Division 1 Xtreme Bulls Tour have a quick turnaround.

Just six days after the Division 1 event in San Antonio, the Division 1 tour makes a stop at the Fort Mohave (Ariz.) Classic Division 1 Xtreme Bulls, Feb. 28-29 at 10:30 p.m. (ET). The action will be broadcast on the The Cowboy Channel at 7 p.m. (ET), Feb. 29, and 7:30 p.m., March 1.

Bull rider Dustin Boquet, who is leading the Feb. 24 PRCA | RAM World Standings with $54,531, is anxious to add to his total in Fort Mohave. Boquet won the SWELS – Xtreme Bulls in Fort Worth, Texas, Jan. 22, the first Division 1 X Bulls event of the season, and earned $13,555. He added $18,750 from the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, which concluded Feb. 22.

“I’ve been extremely, extremely grateful for the way this year has been happening,” Boquet said. “After San Antonio, I didn’t even realize how much money I had won so far this year.

Boquet is competing tonight in Fort Mohave. He drew Bar T Rodeo’s On The Rocks for his long-round ride. Tyler Bingham won the Lion’s Dixie Roundup in St. George, Utah, in September with an 89-point ride aboard On The Rocks.

Boquet, who made his lone appearance at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in 2018, has lofty goals for 2020.

“My goal is to win a world title, and to have a great start is a blessing for me,” he said. “If I could win at Fort Mohave it would mean a lot. I just want to keep plucking at them because every little bit counts. Another goal of mine is to get the X Bulls title, I would like to knock that off my bucket list.”

Boudreaux Campbell is leading the X Bulls standings with $28,861. Boquet is sixth with $15,770.

Campbell, of Crockett, Texas, won the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Xtreme Bulls Division 1 event with an 89-point ride on 4L & Diamond S Rodeo’s Ferdinand in the finals at the AT&T Center.

Campbell earned $17,833 for his ride in the finals and left town with $20,333 – $2,500 from placing second in the long round with his 82-point ride on Andrews Rodeo’s Rodeo Time.
