Reno Rodeo Day One Results

RENO, Nev. – The stands were speckled in red, white and blue for patriot’s night on the first night of PRCA action at the 102nd Reno Rodeo.

Jamie Howlett took the first big win of the night with an 85 on Diamond G Rodeo’s Cool Hand Luke. The Australian native is currently No. 15 in the world standings. Clay Jorgenson scored an 83.5 on his reride putting him in the second place spot for the night.

It was a bad night for saddle bronc riding brothers Sterling and Jacobs Crawley; neither took a score but both took nasty kicks after getting bucked off. CoBurn Bradshaw took the win with an impressive 90 point ride on Flying U Rodeo’s Wicked Game.

On his very first time in Reno, tie-down roper Dakota Felton took the win turning in the fastest time. Team roping duo Coleman Proctor and Logan Medlin earned the coveted victory lap tonight with their impressive 4.5 second run. Medlin’s Lita Win Playboy (Drago) was the 2020 heeler horse of the year.

Neither Nevada barrel racers had fast enough runs to make the top three, but they received loud cheers from the hometown crowd. Lexie Goss was just 0.01 second away from first place with her 17.44 run but it was Mary Jo Camera’s 17.43 second run that won the night.
