Since being incorporated as the charitable arm of the Reno Rodeo 34 years ago, the Reno Rodeo Foundation has distributed over $7 million throughout 14 Nevada counties. It is best known for the annual Denim Drive, returning Nov. 9 through Dec. 31, 2020, which collects monetary and clothing donations to help clothe neglected, abused and abandoned children in Northern Nevada. Monetary donations also help the foundation purchase new books and teddy bears for Reading Rooms, dedicated spaces that provide comfort for Denim Drive children required to attend family court proceedings as well as educational scholarship for foster youth.
