Ross Ellis to Headline First Ever PBR-Produced After Hours Celebration in Nashville

By: Kacie Albert

PUEBLO, Colo. – For the first time in its history, PBR (Professional Bull Riders), partnering with its new official beer, will hold a league-produced post-event celebration in Nashville following the first night of the Jack Daniel’s Music City Knockout, presented by Cooper Tires. The PBR After Hours Celebration, presented by Coors Banquet is scheduled for Saturday, August 24 at 8:00 p.m. CDT at Loser’s Downtown Bar and Grill.

The PBR regular season’s biggest after-event bash will showcase the musical talents of six acts with headliner Ross Ellis set to take over the main stage at 10:30 p.m.

After launching his first band at the age of 15, Ellis is now one of country music’s emerging talents. His first single “Home for the Weekend” was named Sirius XM’s “Highway Find” in late 2017, while his latest hit “Ghosts” has reached the Top 10 most played songs on The Highway. Additionally, he was a co-writer on Tim McGraw’s singled “Neon Church,” and is touring alongside the likes of Brett Young, Chase Rice, Raelynn, and the Eli Young Band.

Kirk & Ted’s Excellent Adventure will take to the main stage prior to Ellis, with Daniel Marshall to follow.

Musical acts will also take to the venue’s rooftop stage including the likes of Dallas Hendrix, Nik & Sam and Austin Jenckes.

In addition to enjoying Coors Banquet specials throughout the evening, fans will be able to skip the line and get their first Coors Banquet beer free when showing their PBR event ticket. Must be 21 years of age to attend.

For the third-consecutive year, Bridgestone Arena’s plaza will also welcome the free-to-the-public PBR Tailgate Party on both Saturday, August 24 from 3:00-6:30 p.m., and Sunday, August 25 from 11:00 a.m. -3:30 p.m.

The stage at the PBR Tailgate Party will be rocking every 30 minutes as up-and-coming musicians play for fans in attendance. Saturday’s concerts will be headlined by Carlton Anderson, while Ryan Weaver, the official patriotic voice of the PBR, will take top billing on Sunday.

Anderson was quick to connect with audiences and find success in Music City. Having already written alongside some of the industry’s top songwriters, the Texan can currently be heard on his first single on Artista Nashville, “Drop Everything.”

On Saturday the acts set to rock the stage alongside Anderson are Andy Velo, Renee Wahl, Kasey Tyndall and Justin Adams.

A former Black Hawk helicopter pilot, Weaver tragically lost both his brother and brother-in-law in combat. Weaver quit flying the day his brother died and began pursuing his passion for country rock. He was discovered by PBR playing at a veteran’s fundraiser, signed by the league, and has since provided the soundtrack for its Celebrate America campaign that honors heroes, inspires youth and unites communities. Fan-favorite Weaver has performed at many PBR events, including World Finals in Las Vegas. His EP Celebrate America includes the tracks “That’s What America Means to Me,” “Never Forgotten,” and “Get Up.”

Taking to the stage before Weaver will be Antonio Moraes, son of three-time PBR World Champion Adriano Moraes, who will debut brand new music.

Weaver and Moraes will also be joined by Ben Gallaher, Chase Fouraker and Nora Collins in Sunday’s line up.

Of the 16 acts set to perform during the weekend of PBR festivities, nine are represented by WME, which along with PBR is part of the Endeavor network.

The Jack Daniel’s Music City Knockout, presented by Cooper Tires, is the fourth and final PBR Unleash The Beast Major of the 2019 season. The bull riding action will begin at 6:45 p.m. CDT on Saturday, August 24, and at 1:45 p.m. CDT on Sunday, August 25.

Tickets for the event are on sale now and start at $10, taxes and fees may apply. They can be purchased at the Bridgestone Arena Box Office and all Ticketmaster outlets, and online at Ticketmaster.com.
