Roundup of Rodeo Happenings this Week

RENO, Nev. – While it will be another year until rodeo fans will get to sit in the stands and celebrate the “Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West,” there will be several happenings this week that fans can participate in.

2020 Commemorative Art Print
Every year the Reno Rodeo president works with an artist of their choice to design a commemorative art print which is sold in limited quantities. This year, 250 copies of the art print titled “Empty Saddle- Honoring Victims of 2020” will be available for purchase for $40, each signed and numbered. Framing services will be offered at the Hot Deals and Hot Dogs event. A preview of the poster is available here.

Hot Deals and Hot Dogs | June 19–20
Ever considered buying a Reno Rodeo belt buckle or poster? June 19–20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. fans can stop by the Reno Rodeo office to shop from an assortment of specialty sales items including belt buckles, posters, jewelry and other deeply discounted 100 Year merchandise while enjoying a hot dog barbecue.

Belt Buckle Auction | Now – June 30
Three belt buckles are available for auction on the Reno Rodeo website. The three buckles each honor a different night from the rodeo; Man Up Crusade Night, Patriot Night and Breast Cancer Awareness Night. Bidding is now open and will conclude on June 30. Photos of the buckles are available here.

Ticket Refunds
The Reno Rodeo will be offering guests who have purchased tickets the following three options:

1. Rollover their ticket to the 2021 Reno Rodeo, which is scheduled for June 17–26.
2. Donate the ticket amount to the Reno Rodeo Legacy Project.
3. Refund the ticket purchase.

Refunds must be requested no later than June 30, 2020. If a request is not submitted, the ticket purchase will default to a rollover to the 2021 Reno Rodeo. The form to request a refund, rollover or donate can be found at RenoRodeo.com. Refunds will be given via check for cash purchases and credit card purchases will go back to the card used. About the Reno Rodeo
The Reno Rodeo is a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) sanctioned sporting event, and one of the top five rodeos in North America. It is one of the largest annual events in Northern Nevada attracting more than 140,000 fans and stimulating the local economy with an estimated $42 million annually. Reno Rodeo is a non-profit organization made up of over 1,000 volunteers. Competition includes bareback, team roping, saddle bronc, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, women’s barrel racing and bull riding. The 2020 Reno Rodeo, scheduled for June 18-27, was canceled due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The 2021 Reno Rodeo is scheduled for June 17-26.
