Scholarships Available for Students in Northern Nevada

Reno Rodeo Foundation Accepting Applications Now through Feb. 12

RENO, Nev. – Eligible students in Northern Nevada have until Feb. 12 to apply for scholarships offered by the Reno Rodeo Foundation.

Since 1986 the Reno Rodeo Foundation has endeavored to promote educational opportunities to Northern Nevada high school graduates. Throughout the years, the foundation has helped fund hundreds of students in furthering their education. Last year $130,000 was distributed to 74 Northern Nevada students.

This year the foundation will also be awarding two Al Evans Silver Spurs scholarships, which allocate $5,000 each for two students with declared majors in Veterinary or Pre-Veterinary degrees.

Alongside the Reno Rodeo Foundation Scholarship is the Western Arts & Culture Scholarship, created to further awareness and appreciation of western arts, culture and heritage in college-age Nevadans through recognition of outstanding potential, contributions and skill in the creative arts.
