CASSVILLE DEMOCRAT: Jenkins on Lowe: ‘If you saw him ride, you didn’t forget him’

By: Jordan Troutman

On Jan. 15, 2019, Barry County was rocked when it learned the news of the death of Exeter native Mason Lowe.

In that moment, Exeter, Barry County and the PBR nation stood together as one to mourn the loss of a friend, husband, son and much more.

In the months that followed, locals and PBR stars alike worked together to bring honor to Lowe in an event that brought everyone together to do two of the things that he will always be best remembered for — riding bulls and helping others.

During the inaugural event in May 2019, Ridin’ with Mason Lowe raised $15,000 for St. Jude’s Children’s hospital.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions, the event was canceled for 2020.

Ready to bring back the event in full force, 40 of the top athletes in the sport of bull riding will return to Bill Hailey Arena in Cassville on Saturday for Ridin’ with Mason Lowe to honor and remember Lowe and everything he stood for and rode for.
