Fun Facts about Garrett: He saw his name slipping in the standings when he took a month off to get healthy. He used that renewed energy to add to his earnings and got the coveted 15th spot in the world standings for his second WNFR qualification. Prior to his break, he won the Dodge City Round-Up rodeo on the newly crowned bareback horse of the year, Frontier Rodeo’s Gunfire. Garrett is a natural athlete that went to college on a wrestling scholarship and earned a degree in chemistry. He and his wife, Katie, have two children, son George, and daughter Mavis. Katie and the kids join him on the road when they can and when she’s not being a rodeo mom, she’s being a ranch wife.
