Fun Facts about Levi: He is roping behind Junior Dees who makes his home in Aurora, South Dakota. While there have been many great rodeo contestants from South Dakota and world champions in several events, Junior and Levi are making history as a team competing at the WNFR. Levi’s first qualification was in 2020. He used money he won at Globe Life Field in Texas to buy a new horse from world champion heeler Paul Eaves. This year, he and “Pauly” caught the heels the best at the Caldwell Night Rodeo in August. Less than a month earlier, they won the rodeo in Nampa, Idaho. It all added up to Levi’s first trip to compete in the Thomas and Mack Arena. He is the son of one of the most well-known contestants in the Badlands Circuit, J.B. Lord. His brother Eli who competes in the steer wrestling finished in the top 40.
