Fun Facts about Tyler: This is Tyler’s second time to qualify for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo without his regular partner. He ropes a lot with Jeff Flenniken from Caldwell, Idaho, and they competed at the 2020 NFR together. This year, Tyler started out at the Texas Circuit Finals with Nelson Wyatt. They won that and qualified for the NFR Open where they roped together again. Tyler and Nelson each collected $33,698 at those two rodeos and that had a big influence on their NFR qualifications. Tyler finished this year with Jake Cooper Clay and that is who he will rope with in Las Vegas. Tyler’s wife Brittany is the daughter of Bobby Hurley, who won two gold buckles while heading and is in the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame. Brittany is a registered nurse but has been spending a lot of time breeding mares and raising horses. And, she and Tyler welcomed son, Audy, to the family this year and Tyler has already introduced him to team roping.
