Fun facts about Cory: He roped his first calf when he was just four years old. Both of his parents work at Prairie View A&M University and his love of rodeo and appreciation for agriculture come from them. His father competed in amateur rodeos. He has two older brothers that have roped in the PRCA. Cory and two of his friends and fellow competitors started Royalty I.D. this year. It’s a platform to motivate and promote positivity in the rodeo world. His mother, Carlita, was very strict and made education a priority. As punishment for getting in trouble at school or not doing his work, she took away roping. He stayed out of trouble and as soon as his homework was done, he was roping. Now he is roping at Globe Life Field with “Faith” on his collar and God in his corner.
