Fun Facts about Tyler: His dad always told him if he wanted to be handy with a rope, he better have a rope in his hands. That has worked well for the 2017 Rookie of the Year. He won Rodeo Houston that year, but the money didn’t count in the PRCA standings, so he finished 30th. That was a learning experience and the next year he finished 18th. Last year he competed in Las Vegas at rodeo’s championships for the first time and finished 8th. Most of his success can be attributed to his 2-time horse of the year, Little Smart Leo known as Big Time. Sadly, Tyler will be without Big Time at this year’s WNFR. Big Time passed away October 30.
