Fun Facts about Cheyanne: Her Fourth of July changed her season and her plans for the rest of the year. She headed out hoping to win enough to get in 2022 rodeos that had limited entries. Then she won more money than any other breakaway roper at $14,330 and was in contention for the NFBR. After that success, she talked Taylor Hanchey into going to more rodeos and they both cashed in at the Pro Tour Finale in Salinas and will be competing in Las Vegas. Cheyanne grew up in Louisiana and gave up roping in high school for softball. She got the opportunity to play at Louisiana College. She went on to Texas A&M and earned her bachelor’s degree in May before hitting the road. She thought about going to rodeos in 2020 and made the decision to wait. That was a blessing as she got to spend time with her father who had a heart attack and passed away last summer. He always wanted her to graduate from college and be successful in the roping arena. She accomplished both of those and has a special angel watching over her.
