Fun Facts about Josie: She was gone from home most of the year in her quest to qualify for her second NFBR. A year ago, she broke her foot and had some time off, came back and was roping in a walking boot. Her parents, Jade and Wendi, are able to go with her most of the time and are a huge source of support. Jade was a PRCA tie-down roper so he has been helping Josie in the arena since she began roping when she was still in single digits. Her mom helps with accounting and keeps her on top of the business end. The second to the last week of the regular season she won first place at rodeos in Albuquerque, New Mexico; Cashmere, Washington; and Abilene, Texas. That added $6,160 to her earnings. She has been dating tie-down roper Riley Webb for three years and he spends a lot of time in Louisiana at their place so they can rope together. He will be at the NFBR supporting Josie, then it will be her turn to watch him in the Thomas and Mack Arena.
