Fun facts about Nicole: She grew up ranching and rodeoing. She qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo three times representing New Mexico State University. Only one of those qualifications was in the breakaway roping. She competed twice in goat tying and once in the team roping and was in contention for the all-around when she competed in Casper, Wyoming in two events. Wyoming was good to her this year as she got over 40 percent of her earnings at the legendary Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo. Nicole loves to give back to the sport as does her husband Brice. He grew up in a rodeo family in Washington State came to NMSU to compete, then was assistant coach and now is the head coach. When he knew that his wife had qualified for the NFBR, he had a custom bit made for her with an NFBR shield and the #13 on it. The biggest reward that either of them got out of college rodeo is each other.
