Fun Facts about Taylor: Her success in the breakaway roping has really come because of two factors, a horse named Monster and an injury. Her family did a lot of team roping when they weren’t busy ranching. That nearly destroyed her shoulder and she had to have it reconstructed. Now, she is diligent about working out, taking care of herself and not over practicing to manage her shoulder. That’s working and she is headed to her third NFBR. She finished as the reserve champion last year and has already won more than she did a year ago. Her dad bought Monster at the sale barn and he was undernourished and needed some TLC. After Taylor started riding him a bit, she started liking him. She won the 2019 College National Finals Rodeo on the little bay gelding. The talented cowgirl gives Monster credit for everything. He taught her a lot and prepared her for other horses. She has trained several and through that has found horses to be competitive on.
