SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Brazilian Eduardo Aparecido rode Little Red Jacket (J.A.R.S. Bucking Bulls/Gene Owen) for 88 points to earn the 15/15 Bucking Battle victory at the Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) PFIWestern.com Invitational, presented by Bass Pro Shops, and brought to fans locally by Sonic, Saturday night at JQH Arena.

Aparecido became the first man to cover Little Red Jacket since Kaique Pacheco reached 8 seconds on the bovine during Last Cowboy Standing in Las Vegas this past May. Aparecido earned 150 world points for his effort and currently sits in sixth place in the world standings.

PBR rookie Jess Lockwood finished in second place in the 15/15 Bucking Battle with an 86-point ride on Cooper Tires Semper Fi (Dakota Rodeo/Julie Rosen/Clay Struve/Chad Berger). Lockwood moved up to seventh in the world standings after earning 90 world points for his finish.

CBS Sport will broadcast all of the PBR 15/15 Bucking Battle action on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 3 p.m. or 5 p.m. ET, check your local listings.

Earlier in the evening, Pacheco won Round 2 with an 86.5-point trip aboard Wired Child (01 Cattle Co.) and regained the lead in the world standings after earning 100 world points. Pacheco leaped frogged Cooper Davis, who pulled out of Round 2 with an injury. Davis now trails Pacheco by 35.33 points.

Kasey Hayes picked up 60 points toward the world standings after ridingOzzy (1311 Ranch/Hadley Cattle Co.) for 85.5 points. The ride was Hayes’ first of the second half of the BFTS.

Ryan Dirteater finished in third place in Round 2 after an 84.25-point ride on Shattered Dreams (Kevin Foreman Bucking Bulls). Dirteater is the only rider to go 2-for-2 so far in Springfield and is in a good position for his third event victory of the season on Sunday afternoon. For his effort, Dirteater picked up 50 points toward the world standings.

Valdiron de Oliveira rounded out the point earners in Round 2 after his 84-point ride on Missouri Boat Ride (McConnel & Fung). Oliveira picked up 40 points toward the world standings with his first qualified ride of the second half.

Round 2 was also an American Bucking Bull, Inc. (ABBI) Maturity competition where more than $27,000 was paid out during Round 2 of the BFTS. This division, for bulls five and older, saw 27 bulls competing against the PBR’s top cowboys. Crimson King (Winston Loe) took first with an 88.5-point out worth $8,460. Splitting second were Crazy Horse (Rockin I Rodeo) and American Hustle (D&H Cattle Co./Leflore) with scores of 87.5. Splitting fourth were Rebel Yell (Hadley Cattle Co.) and Gangster Can Do (01 Cattle Co.) with 86.5 points apiece.

The PBR’s best will hit the dirt Sunday for the final day of the PFIWestern.com Invitational, presented by Bass Pro Shops, and brought to fans locally by Sonic. The riders will face one more bull in Round 3 after which the Top 15 will move on to the Built Ford Tough Championship Round where the winner will be crowned.

CBS Sports Network will air Round 3 and the championship round on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET.

Fans can also watch all of the action via the PBR LIVE app, available for download now on Google Play and iTunes. PBR LIVE is available at no charge to all fans and media. Visit www.PBR.com/live to view.

Springfield is the 20th stop on the 2016 BFTS schedule. The season will conclude at the PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas on Nov. 2-6 at Las Vegas’ new T-Mobile Arena where the 2016 PBR World Champion, the bull rider who earns the most points during the 2016 season, will be crowned and receive the coveted World Championship belt buckle and a $1 million bonus.

The BFTS is televised every week on CBS, CBS Sports Network and networks around the world. BFTS telecasts are produced for the PBR under a multi-year agreement with David Neal Productions, a Los Angeles-based production company led by 34-time Emmy® Award winner and Peabody Award winner David Neal, who serves as executive producer.
