Kyler Oliver Wins Lane Frost Challenge Title

Lane Frost Challenge promoter Eldon Monsen with event winner Kyler Oliver

VERNAL, Utah – Before a sold-out crowd Kyler Oliver (Roy, Utah) captured the Lane Frost Challenge title with 254.5 points earning $6,000. In memory of the legendary Lane Frost, the 17th annual Lane Frost Challenge (LFC) lit up the Western Park Indoor Arena with intense rides, wrecks and heart-pounding entertainment.

Although failing to cover the notorious Hou’s Jacket from Tom Hadden in the Friday night Cutting Edge Bounty Bull Shoot out which would have earned Oliver another $2,500, he was able to cover all three of his other bulls including his electric 90.5 winning ride on “Bull Knuckle” from Hadden and McCurdy in the NINGXIA Red Championship Round!

Ruger Piva (Challis, Idaho) rounded out second place with 247.5 points, earning $4,000, and Kache Moosman (Price, Utah) came in third with 238 points, earning $2,000.

In all, $33,000 in cash and prizes was awarded at the two-day event. Additional information and photos can be found at www.lanefrostchallenge.com.
