Fun Facts about Wenda: If Wenda has a super power, it’s being able to utilize her time to be her best at multiple tasks. She is a part time nurse practitioner in the emergency room, competes as a barrel racer, is a wife, and mother. Her husband is a rancher, so she gets called upon to help him and also homeschools their two daughters. Wenda’s most well known horse has been “Mac” Macgyver Moonflash. She started riding him for her friends who own Tres Mesa Horses in Fort Worth. Qualifying for their hometown rodeo was the first goal they set but changed as they started winning money. She qualified for the WNFR in Texas in 2020. Then Fort Worth was cancelled due to the pandemic in 2021, so she qualified for the WNFR again. Fort Worth was on again in 2022 and she emerged the champion. Also among her four-legged teammates is Steal Money “Mo” and both horses got a new home at Highpoint Barrel Horses in August, so Wenda will be riding for them in December. She loves horses and riding and is nearly as content riding across the fields as in the arena. She is constantly working on her horsemanship and feels that the only way to get the best out of the horses she rides to ask for the best from herself.
