Fun Facts about Jess: Every time that Jess has entered the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, he has left as the event champion. He has ridden 30 horses better than 45 other bareback riders and that has garnered him a lot of respect. Last year he added his first world championship title to his resume and left Las Vegas with two new saddles. He has earned over $1 million in five years riding bucking horses and has invested that money in cattle. His focus on faith, family, and work – in that order—has paid off for the oldest brother of the Pope family. His younger brother Ty made his debut as a bareback rider this year and Judd, the youngest, is competing in high school rodeos. The family grew last May when Jess and Sydney Odle got married on her grandparents’ ranch in Brush, Colorado. As much as Jess loves bareback riding, he loves being a cowboy even more and for him they go hand-in-hand. Four days after winning his world title last year, he was back home in Kansas, saddled up and ready to go to work at the local livestock auction.
