Fun Facts about Josh: He wants a gold buckle in the bull riding, but Josh also wants to be recognized as a great cowboy. Because of that, he also competes in tie-down roping, steer wrestling and occasionally in team roping. His skills at both ends of the arena have earned him the prestigious Linderman Award again in 2023. His first NFR in 2019 did not go as planned, so he did a big regroup and reset. He won the average in 2021 and finished as the reserve world champion. He was second in the world standings again last year. Josh wrestled in high school, and he believes that has helped his bull riding. He has been working on his mental game and being in great shape. After high school he followed his older brother Joe (five-time NFR qualifier) to Goodwell, Oklahoma to attend Panhandle State University. Josh earned his ag education degree and when his bull riding career is over, he plans on using that degree. He met his wife Erika there. She is a breakaway roper, and when they are can, they take turns helping each other in the practice pen.
