Calgary – Do you know someone who promotes and preserves western values to create a better community for all? Nominate them today for the 2016 Calgary Stampede Western Legacy Awards!
The Western Legacy Awards are presented annually by the Calgary Stampede to honour individuals and groups who have demonstrated significant achievement in promoting and preserving western values to create a better community for all.
Submit online at calgarystampede.com/wla, in one of the four categories:
- Sustained Contribution (Group): awarded to an organization or group (of three or more) that has exhibited extraordinary community support over time.
- Sustained Contribution (Individual): awarded to an individual who has exhibited extraordinary community support over time.
- Innovation (Individual): awarded to an individual who has created a single visionary project that reflects to our western values.
- Youth (Individual): awarded to a youth, under the age of 18, who has demonstrated a commitment to making a difference and exhibited western values.
Nominate someone from Calgary and the surrounding area who you believe has created a better community by promoting hospitality, commitment to community, pride of place and integrity.
The deadline for nomination is August 5, 2016. All nominations will be vetted and reviewed by a jury and recipients will be announced and recognized on November 17 at the 2016 Western Legacy Awards.
