CBR Bull of the Year Nominee: 911 Hy Test

The Bull of the Year program was established by CBR to recognize individual bulls who outperformed the expanding group of professional bucking bulls that provide the adrenaline at each Road to Cheyenne tour events during the regular season.

Every sport awards a Most Valuable Player and ten bulls have been selected as nominees for their outstanding performance and contribution during the 16 stop 2017 Road to Cheyenne tour. The first profile bull began the year representing Jared Allen’s Pro Bull Teams and then continued competing on Jeff Harris’ bull team partnerships. He was the Champion Bull (High Marked Ride) in the Hobbs and Las Vegas Road to Cheyenne tour events.

As athletes these rock star bulls come from bred to buck programs and all have a Made in America story to tell.

911 Hy Test | Sire: Phenom I | Dam: Kid Rock daughter | Owned by Phenom Genetics, Inc.

911 is intertwined in many of the great stories on the 2017 Road to Cheyenne. He bucked in 11 tour stops where only two cowboys heard the whistle while still on his back. But what is most impressive is all three of those 8 Second rides were part of the victory path and each time he was ridden the rider would advance and eventually win the event.

This action packed brown and white paint bull carried Boudreaux Campbell to the pay window twice winning the Hobbs, New Mexico and Salina, Kansas tour stops while thrilling the crowd with 90 and 90.5 winning rides. But it was Travis Briscoe’s ride in round one in Las Vegas that delivered his highest marked ride of the season, 91.5 for his first CBR event win.

911’s average bull score this season for CBR was 44.375. His highest marked bull score was 45.5 in both Las Vegas and El Paso, the latter being where he bucked off Jeff Askey.

911 helped Campbell finish third in the regular season and he enters Cheyenne as the highest ranked rookie in the CBR. Hy Test is the reason veteran rider Travis Briscoe qualified for the CBR World Finals when he won the largest purse of the season, $49,250 aboard the perennial bucker.

“I think what makes Hy Test special is the fact that he enjoys the game so much. He’s a huge family pet that also doubles as a great bucking bull!” said Matt Sharping of Phenom Genetics.

Congratulations and good luck 911 Hy Test
