Cowboy Christmas Gift Show to Move to South Halls at Las Vegas Convention Center Beginning in 2015

With additional space, Cowboy FanFest to be integrated in the new design; move also allows for partnership with the RMEF Hunter Christmas Expo

LAS VEGAS – January 29, 2015 – Las Vegas Events announced today that the Cowboy Christmas Gift Show will relocate to the South Halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center beginning in 2015. The show, which runs concurrently with the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, is set for Dec. 3 – 12, 2015. The hours of operation in 2015 will also move up one hour to 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. PT.

Under the new plan, elements of Cowboy FanFest, the popular fan interactive experience, will now fall under the auspices of the Cowboy Christmas Gift Show. Elements that will remain in place in 2015 include the Live Stage, Rodeo Way exhibits, the Rodeo Arena, NFR Social Arena, Media Wall and additional features to be announced at a later date.

To add to the overall experience, RMEF’s Hunter Christmas Expo will be co-located in the South Halls with the Cowboy Christmas Gift Show. The show will expand from four days to a full ten days in 2015, with a goal to become the most successful outdoor and hunting-related expo in the United States.

“Based on overall demand, growth potential and the ability to partner with the RMEF Hunter Christmas Expo, Las Vegas Events has made the decision to move the Cowboy Christmas Gift Show to the South Halls at the Las Vegas Convention Center beginning in 2015,” said Pat Christenson, president of Las Vegas Events. “By incorporating Cowboy FanFest and offering additional space, we are committed to providing the same experience and creating even more opportunities for our exhibitors and sponsors to grow and flourish, while improving the overall attendee experience at the same time.”

The move to the South Halls and the partnership with the RMEF Hunter Christmas Expo provides the potential to grow the shows to more than 900,000 square feet of exhibit, retail and interactive space.

The Cowboy Christmas Gift Show and Cowboy FanFest brought record crowds to the Las Vegas Convention Center over the ten days in 2014. Total attendance reached 200,179, surpassing the previous record attendance of 196,856 set in 2013.

Sold out for 280 consecutive performances, the Wrangler NFR attracts the top 15 contestants in bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing, and bull riding as they compete for a share of the $10 million purse. Qualification is based on the 2015 Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association World Standings.
