Kim Schulze, of Larkspur, Colorado, was involved in a serious horse related accident on February 16, 2017, which resulted in her sustaining a lacerated liver (grade 4 out of 5) and internal bleeding. She spent a week and a half in the hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, undergoing a number of different procedures to stabilize her condition. In order to help defray the costs of Kim’s medical bills, her friends in the rodeo community have joined together to organize a Facebook auction that will run March 15-April 2, a care page for cash donations and a benefit barrel racing event to be held April 2 at Spicer Arena in Eaton, Colorado. Kim is a two-time Mountain States Circuit Champion Barrel Racer, Cheyenne Frontier Days Champion, a many-time circuit finalist and was uninsured at the time of the accident. She has a lengthy recovery ahead of her during which time she will be unable to compete, which is her livelihood. We appreciate any and every donation, auction purchase and entry fee you are able to contribute in order to help our friend in this time of need.

Below is the link to the Facebook page that has been set up for her that has information about our benefit barrel race, our Facebook auction and a link to the www.youcaring.com page to receive cash donations.
