The BFTS returns to action this weekend in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

GAME ON – Following its annual summer hiatus, the Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series returns to Tulsa, Oklahoma, this weekend for the 10th year in a row with the Express Employment Professionals Classic presented by WinStar World Casino at the BOK Center. Bull riding will begin at 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 15, and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16.

UP NEXT – The WinStar World Casino and Resort Invitational will take place Aug. 29-30, at the WinStar World Casino and Resort, as the PBR makes its way to Thackerville, Oklahoma. The event will take place on Friday, Aug. 29, at 7:50 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 30, at 8 p.m.

PAST TULSA EVENT WINNERS – Last year, J.B. Mauney conquered Bushwacker in Tulsa for 95.25 points en route to winning his first of five events in the second half. The North Carolina native broke the two-time World Champion bull’s BFTS buck off streak at 42. The ride sparked Mauney’s 2013 World Championship run, while also reinforcing his nickname as the Dragon Slayer.

FORMAT – This weekend, the Top 35 bull riders on the BFTS will compete in Round 1 on Friday night and Round 2 on Saturday night, facing one bull in each round. The riders with the Top 15 scores after two rounds will advance to the Built Ford Tough Championship Round on Saturday for an additional ride and a chance at the $30,000 event title.

ABBI CLASSIC EVENT IN ROUND 1 – Tulsa will include an American Bucking Bull Inc. Classic event. There will be 35 bulls competing for a prize purse of more than $30,000 in Round 1 on Friday night. The ABBI, which introduces young bucking bulls at select BFTS and Touring Pro Division events, is dedicated to unifying, developing and promoting the bucking bull industry through pedigree preservation; enhancement and promotion of bucking bull ownership, breeding, and welfare; and development of programs and events showcasing the world’s finest bucking bull stock. The ABBI is the third-largest cattle registry and is set up to record and preserve the pedigrees of the world’s premier bucking bulls.
