CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Colten Jesse (Konawa, Oklahoma) won his second event of the season at the PBR’s (Professional Bull Riders) Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour (RVT) Corpus Christi Chute Out Saturday night at the American Bank Center.

Jesse took the victory after scoring 82 points aboard Hansome Jack (Rafter B Bucking Bulls) in Round 1 and finishing out with an 85-point ride on Runnin Through the Jungle (JD Nix Rodeo Co.) in the championship round. Jesse was the only one to go 2-for-2, earning 80 points toward the world standings and $7,900.

Winners of each RVT event in 2017 will be guaranteed at least one opportunity to compete at a PBR Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) regular-season event. Thanks to his victory in Corpus Christi, Jesse earned an invitation to a future BFTS event.

Quentin Vaught (Crane, Missouri) solidified the second-place finish. He earned 86.5 points in Round 1 after covering Flat Back (Rocking K-J Bucking Bulls) and bucked off in the championship round. Quentin is walking away from the weekend with 50 points toward the world standings and $4,700.

Third place was secured by Juliano Antonio Da Silva (Eloi Mendes, Brazil), who snatched 30 points toward the world standings and $3,000. The Brazilian started the night with an 87.5-point ride on Lucky (JD Nix Rodeo Co.) in Round 1 before bucking off in the championship round.

Ouncie Mitchell (Fresno, Texas) finished in fourth after riding for 85.5 points in Round 1 aboard Tahonta’s Magic (Rocking K-J Bucking Bulls). Mitchell later bucked off in the championship round. Mitchell will be taking home a check for $2,000 and 20 points toward world standings.

Winston Lopez (Bandera, Texas) rounded out the Top 5 after riding Knock Knock (Bill Sanders) in Round 1. Lopez earned 15 points toward the world finals and a check for $1,140.

The next stop on the Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour will be in Tucson, Arizona, on Oct. 21-22 at the Tucson Arena.

The 2017 Velocity Tour will culminate with the Velocity Tour Finals at South Point Arena in Las Vegas on Oct. 28-30, leading into the PBR’s Built Ford Tough World Finals, Nov. 1-5 at T-Mobile Arena.
