LAS VEGAS – J.B. Mauney knew he needed to deliver to stay in the hunt for a record-tying third World Championship and he came through, winning Round 4 of the PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals after a 90.25-point ride on Red Dawn Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena.

Mauney’s ride was the first 90-point ride in the new home of the PBR World Finals and the 17th 90-point ride in his Finals career. More importantly, the 300 world points he earned pulled him within 544.08 points of current world leader Kaique Pacheco.

Mauney also earned $30,000 for the round win making him the first bull rider to earn $7 million in career earnings.

World No. 2 Cooper Davis rode Dead Calm for 83.75 points but did not earn any world points Saturday. He trails Pacheco by 226.58 points heading into championship Sunday.

Pacheco rode Red Bandana for 86.5 points, adding 18.75 world points to his lead.

Stetson Lawrence finished second in Round 4 courtesy of an 89-point ride on Texicali. Lawrence is now 2-for-4 and is currently 12th in the event.

2008 World Champion Guilherme Marchi continued his stellar World Finals performance by riding Acting Crazy for 88.75 points to finish third in Round 4. Marchi moved up to ninth in the world standings courtesy of the 125 world points he picked up Saturday night.

Gage Gay and Joao Ricardo Vieira tied for fourth in Round 4 after dual 88.25-point rides. Gay rode Like a Boss while Vieira covered Bottoms Up. The pair each earned 85 points toward the world standings. The points moved Vieira within 1996.58 points of Pacheco heading into the final day of competition.

It will all come down to one day as the Top 40 bull riders in the world gather for one final time this season to settle some scores.

Each rider will face one more bull in Round 5 before the Top 15 move on to the Built Ford Tough Championship Round where the World Finals event winner and the 2016 PBR World Champion will be crowned.

The action starts at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network and PBR LIVE.
