National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum Offers Federal Employees Free Admission During Government Shutdown

Federal employees and up to four family members are free to enjoy the Museum’s permanent and temporary exhibitions during shutdown.

OKLAHOMA CITY — The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum is offering free Museum admission for all federal employees and up to four family members for the duration of the current federal government shutdown.

Any federal employee — whether furloughed or not — can enjoy all the Museum’s permanent and temporary exhibitions for free, simply by showing a valid federal employment I.D. Children ages 5 and under are always free.

This special offer for federal employees will remain valid for as long as the federal government shutdown continues.

“This historic federal shutdown is affecting tens of thousands of individuals right here in Oklahoma,” said Museum President & CEO Natalie Shirley. “By offering federal employees and their families free admission, we give them a chance to enjoy one of the state’s greatest treasures.”
