KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Rookie Kaique Pacheco, one of the hottest riders on the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) elite Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) covered Brutus (Bob & Jeri Adams/D&H Cattle Co./Buck Cattle Co.) for 89.75 points to win Round 1 of the Caterpillar Classic at Sprint Center in Kansas City on Saturday. The 22-year-old Pacheco was awarded 100 event points for his finish, claiming his third round win in just two weeks.
2010 PBR World Champion Renato Nunes placed second in the round with an 87.75-point ride on Spin Machine (Philpott Bucking Bulls) to earn 60 event points, while Joao Ricardo Vieira received 50 event points for his 87.25-point third place finish on Rainman (Morrison).
With 87 points aboard Crazy Days (Flying S Bucking Bulls), Eduardo Aparecido finished fourth in the round, earning 40 points toward the world standings. J.W. Harris and Reese Cates tied for fifth, rounding out the Top 5. Harris took an 86.5-point trip on Dry Fly (Cord McCoy/Tim Dougherty), and Cates covered Strong Heart (Dakota Rodeo / Chad Berger / Clay Struve) for 86.5 points. Cates and Harris each received 15 world standings points for the finish.
Round 2 of the PBR’s Caterpillar Classic, and the Built Ford Tough Championship Round, take place Sunday at 2 p.m. CT. It can be viewed live on PBR LIVE at www.pbr.com/live.

Kansas City is the eighth of 27 stops on the 2015 PBR Built Ford Tough Series schedule that will culminate with the PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas on Oct. 21-25 when the 2015 PBR World Champion, the bull rider who earns the most points during the 2015 season, will be crowned and receive the coveted World Championship belt buckle and a $1 million bonus.
