Reno Rodeo Foundation Receives Check from Reno Rodeo Association for $159,663 at April 21 Luncheon
RENO, Nev. (April 21, 2016) – The Reno Rodeo Foundation extends its deepest appreciation to the Reno Rodeo Association for the $159,663 check presented by 2015 President Larry Stacy at the Grand Sierra Resort on April 21st.
“It has been an honor to serve as president of the 2015 Reno Rodeo and an even bigger honor to be a part of an organization that has such a big philanthropic component,” said Stacy. “I have to give thanks to all of our incredible volunteers who are the heart and soul of the Reno Rodeo and to our sponsors and attendees who make it possible for us to make donations like this.”
Mark Elston, 2016 Reno Rodeo Foundation President, echoes the sentiment “the relationship we have with the Reno Rodeo Association and the countless hours of hard work from the Reno Rodeo Volunteers is what allows us to help children in our community. The generosity of this check will help us to continue our mission of aiding children with extraordinary needs, building community partnerships and providing scholarships to eligible Northern Nevada high school graduates. The Foundation will use these proceeds to improve the lives of so many right here in northern Nevada.”
For 30 years the Reno Rodeo Foundation has been making a difference to children and families in northern Nevada. It began as a private foundation with the sole purpose of distributing a portion of the proceeds from the annual Reno Rodeo through scholarships and community grants, the Reno Rodeo Foundation is now a 501 (c)(3) public charity offering a much broader range of support to those in need in our community.
Heartfelt gratitude goes out to all the Reno Rodeo Association members for making this possible. This generous contribution will make an incredible difference to thousands of children throughout all of northern Nevada.
