WORCESTER, Mass. – Nine-year PBR (Professional Bull Riders) veteran, Emilio Resende (Santa Helena, Brazil) was victorious on Saturday, Feb. 25, winning the Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour (RVT) Worcester Challenge.

In front of a packed house at the DCU Center, Resende used rides of 83 and 86.5 points to capture his first RVT win of the season. He earned 80 points towards the PBR world standings along with $7,900. Resende covered Peep Show in Round 1 before being the only rider to go 8 seconds in the Championship Round aboard Sin City.

Winners of each RVT event in 2017 will be guaranteed at least one opportunity to compete at a PBR Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) regular-season event. With his victory in Worcester, Resende will compete at the Ty Murray Invitational, presented by Isleta Resort and Casino, Mar. 17-19 at Wise Pies Arena, aka “The Pit” in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Three riders tied for third place with matching 85.5-point scores in Round 1.
