Introducing the 2024 Calgary Stampede Princess – Brooke Fielding!

Calgary – What began as a tight competition among eight excellent contestants finished strong with one young woman, Brooke Fielding, being crowned the 2024 Calgary Stampede Princess!

“The Royalty Committee is thrilled to have Brooke begin her reign as the 2024 Calgary Stampede Princess. Brooke had strong competitors throughout the competition, as she showcased her best in horsemanship, public speaking, and interpersonal skills,” says Janelle Fortmuller, Chair, Calgary Stampede Royalty Committee. “The Royalty Committee is looking forward to watching her embrace this honourable role and make it her own. We are always impressed with the growth of our Princesses throughout their reign and can’t wait to see Brooke flourish as an ambassador for the Calgary Stampede.”

A born and raised Albertan, Fielding started riding on her family’s acreage in Water Valley at just eight years old. The now 23-year-old has experience in both Western and English disciplines, having competitively shown in jumping, dressage, and eventing. She is also no stranger to the Stampede, having been part of the Calgary Stampede Ranch Girls and the Calgary Stampede Showriders.

Brooke is passionate about personal fitness, skiing, boating, food, and travel. She recently graduated from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce. She loves to learn and is planning to follow in her mother’s footsteps by pursuing a career in Veterinary Medicine.

Brooke’s goal as the 2024 Calgary Stampede Princess is to share her experiences and passion for western heritage, culture and community spirit with people from all walks of life. As someone who follows her heart, Brooke hopes to inspire and encourages others to pursue what they love.

Brooke will act as an ambassador of the Calgary Stampede alongside the recently crowned 2024 First Nations Princess, Margaret Holloway. With their reigns officially starting on January 1, 2024, through to December 31, 2024, the Princesses will take the reins from 2023 Stampede Princess, Sarah Lambros and 2023 First Nations Princess, Alayiah Wolf Child.

Brooke and Margaret will attend hundreds of events over the course of 2024, including during The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth. In these roles, the Royalty not only serve their community by sharing and celebrating the Stampede’s western heritage, cultures and community spirit, but also benefit from professional and personal development.
