PRCA Specialty Act Tomas Garcilazo to Perform on TBS “Go-Big Show” Tonight

Tomas Garcilazo, a four-time winner of the PRCA Specialty Act Award, will be displaying his talents on TV tonight.

Garcilazo, who won the award in 2007, 2013, 2018 and 2019, and a mainstay at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, is competing on the “Go-Big Show” at 9 p.m. (ET), tonight on TBS.

“Thank you very much for the shout and support,” Garcilazo said in a response to the PRCA’s social media account. “Besides my lifetime mission to share my tradition and keep my heritage alive, I will represent with pride the specialty acts and rodeo industry.”

The “Go-Big Show” is an extreme talent show with contestants ranging from horse trick riders like Garcilazo to giant ramp jumpers to people performing incredible feats of strength to alligator and rattlesnake wrestlers, stunt archers and world-record holders.

The series is a celebration of the most daring acts, as contestants battle head-to-head to win the finale’s ultimate $100,000 prize.

Bert Kreischer hosts “Go-Big Show” with celebrity judges Snoop Dogg, Rosario Dawson, Jennifer Nettles and All Elite Wrestling’s Cody Rhodes.

In consultation with local authorities, the unions and medical experts, the series was produced at the Macon (Ga.) Coliseum, where contenders and staff operated under strict COVID-19 safety protocols and isolated together for the duration of production.

Garcilazo, a third-generation Charro, has devoted his life to sharing La Charreria with the world and is known as one of the best. At an early age, he was introduced to his family heritage and tradition of La Charreria, which is a skill performed through generations only by the Mexican Charro. He mastered the art form through a lifetime of preparation, performances and competitions requiring self-discipline and commitment.

Garcilazo has performed throughout Europe, Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. Some of his accomplishments include appearing on Broadway in New York City and touring the U.S. with Will Rogers Follies, a six-time Tony Award-winning show.
