Reno Rodeo to Host First Annual Kick-Off Party and Wildest, Richest Beard Contest June 8

RENO, Nev. — The 100th-year celebration of the Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West is just around the corner, and this year the Reno Rodeo is hosting a kick-off party at LEX Nightclub at the Grand Sierra Resort from 6 to 8 p.m. to commence a month full of events leading up to the centennial.

Guests are invited to join the KBUL Moo Crew for an evening of country music, line dancing, a live raffle and the first ever Reno Rodeo beard competition.

Raffle prizes will include two season passes to the 2019 Reno Rodeo, including VIP parking and reserved seating, two general admission tickets to Night in the Country, two tickets to the Rascal Flatts concert on July 13 at the Grand Sierra Resort, two tickets to the Sugarland concert on July 26 at the Grand Sierra Resort, and more.

The beard competition will feature seven categories: Reddest, Blackest, Whitest, Salt and Pepper, Longest, Rodeo Member and Best Mustache. Registration for the contest is from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a $20 entry fee. The winner of each category will receive a custom Beard Contest Winner 100 Year Reno Rodeo buckle.

The Reno Rodeo is a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) sanctioned sporting event, and one of the top five rodeos in North America.
