Steer Wrestler Cody Devers Sidelined for Remaining WNFR Rounds

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Steer wrestler Cody Devers will miss the final five rounds of the 2021 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo presented by Teton Ridge with a torn right pectoral muscle.

The injury occurred during Round 1 of the Wrangler NFR and Devers continued to compete over the next four rounds.

“I made the decision to go ahead and pull out of the rest of the NFR,” said Devers, who was making his Las Vegas debut in 2021.

After the injury, Devers managed to put together three qualified runs but failed to register a time in Round 4 and Round 5.

The Balko, Okla. cowboy, was sitting 15th in the average headed into Round 6 of the Wrangler NFR.
