Vote for the 2023 YETI Fan Favorite Bull

By: Darci Miller

PUEBLO, Colo. – If there’s one thing we can all agree on, it’s that we all love our bovine superstars.

The YETI Fan Favorite Bull award will celebrate just that, honoring the most beloved bulls of the 2023 PBR Team Series season. From rank rides to brutal buckoffs, this award recognizes all the contributions of the best bulls in the world.

But that’s where you, the fans, come in – which bull has been your favorite?

Read on for more information on the six nominees, and don’t forget to vote beginning on Oct. 11 at 2 p.m. ET. Voting closes on Oct. 17 at 11:59 p.m. ET, so be sure to make your picks before then!

Preacher’s Kid

Preacher’s Kid is the only bull nominated for the 2023 YET Fan Favorite Bull award that was also nominated for the honors in 2022. He’s been on the PBR scene since 2018, qualifying for the World Finals yearly since 2019. He has a 92% buckoff percentage in his career, and in four outs on the Team Series this year has given up just one ride – a 90-point trip with Ezekiel Mitchell of the Austin Gamblers at Cowboy Days. In those four outs, Preacher’s Kid has eclipsed 45-point bull scores twice.

Doze You Down

Doze You Down is brand new to the PBR, having bucked at two Challenger Series events in 2022 before working his way up to Teams in 2023. In six Team Series outs this season, he’s 5-1, giving up just one 89.75-point ride to the Arizona Ridge Riders’ Nick Tetz at Rattler Days. His highest bull score of the season was a 45.25-point trip against Felipe Furlan of the Missouri Thunder.

UTZ BesTex Legend

Since making his Teams debut in 2022, UTZ BesTex Legend has become just that – a legend. He’s given up just two rides in 28 career PBR outs for a buckoff percentage of 93%, and in his World Finals debut in May, he bucked three times for bull scores of 46 (twice) and 45. He’s perfect in eight Teams outs in 2023 with three bull scores of 45 points or higher this season, and no rider has lasted longer than 4.64 seconds on his back.

Flapjack

Flapjack is another bull that made his PBR debut in 2022 and has since become a staple. He’s given up five rides in 33 outs for an 85% buckoff percentage, but get this: every single ride he’s given up has been for 90 points or more, with an average score of 91.95 points. He’s had four Team Series outs in 2023 and given up just one ride to two-time World Champion and two-time Teams regular-season MVP Jose Vitor Leme for 91.5 points. Leme’s ride broke a 19-out buckoff streak for Flapjack.

Red Demon

Red Demon made his PBR debut on the Team Series in 2022 and has been terrorizing riders ever since. In 17 career outs, he’s given up a single ride – an 88-point trip with Casey Roberts on the Unleash The Beast. Besides that, Red Demon has been perfect, including in six Teams outs in 2023. The Gamblers’ Ramon de Lima made it close at 7.64 seconds at Rattler Days, but four riders failed to make it to 3.5 seconds.

Mike’s Motive

Mike’s Motive has been a PBR stalwart since 2021, making his World Finals debut that same year and each year since. He’s been busy on the Team Series in 2023, recording 13 outs with two 45-point bull scores. He’s given up four rides for a buckoff percentage of 69%, and the lowest score recorded on him was 89.25 points by Leonardo Castro Ferreira of the Kansas City Outlaws. Sage Kimzey of the Carolina Cowboys and Cassio Dias, also of the Outlaws, both rode Mike’s Motive for 90-plus points.
