#InCaseYouMissedIt: Gamblers Stay Perfect, Improve to 7-0 in 2023

By Darci Miller

Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.

The PBR Camping World Team Series headed to the Golden State this past weekend, and the Austin Gamblers were… well, golden. Plus, the Kansas City Outlaws stayed hot, the Oklahoma Freedom had a nearly perfect weekend, and more. Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.

On the PBR Team Series…

ANAHEIM, DAY 1

The Gamblers began their weekend on a strong note, defeating the Carolina Cowboys by two bulls for a decisive victory.

The Freedom, meanwhile, squeaked past the Missouri Thunder by one point to notch their first win.

In another close game, the Outlaws defeated the Nashville Stampede by a razor-thin 1.25 points.

Stop me if you’ve heard this before: in yet another agonizingly close game, the Texas Rattlers edged the Arizona Ridge Riders by – get this! – .25 points.

ANAHEIM, DAY 2

The Gamblers and Outlaws slugged it out on day two, each notching four rides, with the Gamblers taking the win before clinching the event title in extra outs.

The Freedom joined the Gamblers in extra outs after their victory over the Stampede thanks to Alex Cerqueira’s heroics with a broken leg.

Previously on the losing end of a close game, the Thunder came out with a close win of their own on day two, edging the Ridge Riders by one point.

The Cowboys notched a comfortable win over the Rattlers to get back in the win column as the weekend concluded.

Meanwhile, on the Challenger Series…

Outlaws superstar Leonardo Castro Ferreira went 2-for-2 to take the win at the PBR Stockyards Showcase in Fort Worth, Texas.

Up north in PBR Canada…

Tyler Craig parlayed a 2-for-2 performance at the Touring Pro Division event in Tofield, Alberta, into an event win.

Reigning PBR Canada Champion Nick Tetz won the Royal Rumbull in Coronation, Alberta, to extend his lead atop the national standings.

Cody Coverchuk went 2-for-2 at the Elnora Brahma Rama, notching the event win as he chases his third PBR Canada championship this season
