RMEF Boosts Advocacy, Bolsters Support of Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation

MISSOULA, Mont. — The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is proud to announce it further strengthened its relationship with the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) to improve advocacy and outreach efforts.
“RMEF has been a long-time partner and supporter of CSF and recognizes the clout it wields in working with Congress and state governments to support hunting, fishing, trapping and other outdoor activities,” said Kyle Weaver, RMEF president and CEO. “Better cementing this relationship allows us to further our mission of ensuring the future of elk, other wildlife, their habitat and our hunting heritage across the nation.”
In addition to collaborating on shared policy objectives related to hunting, wildlife management, public access, active forest management and other issues, the two organizations will combine their collective efforts, both public and grassroots, to be a stronger voice for conservation, elk, other big game species, habitat and hunters.

As RMEF increasingly engages in state level policy issues, the network of CSF legislative caucuses in all 50 state capitols is pivotal. The expanded partnership enables RMEF to access legislators and wildlife commissioners that support its mission, and to head off legislation and regulations that threaten the North American Model of Wildlife Management.
Established in 1989, CSF created sportsmen’s caucuses on the congressional, gubernatorial and state legislative levels to introduce, engage and/or advance outdoor issues to policy makers that affect sportsmen and women.
