Award Winning Alberta Artists to Take the Stage at 2021 Evening Show

Calgary – More music and more memories to be made! The Calgary Stampede is excited to announce the addition of award-winning Alberta artists Terri Clark and High Valley to the 2021 Evening Show. These high-energy, home-grown musicians will fire up the Stampede Grandstand stage with their powerful performances each night of this year’s Stampede. The Stampede Evening Show begins with the adrenalin-filled western competition and performances of Broncs After Dark. As the sun begins to set July 9-13, Clark will then take the stage to set the tone for the rest of the evening, which includes the Bell Grandstand Show and a spectacular fireworks finale. From July 14-18, it will be the music of High Valley that leads you into the night.

Hailing from Medicine Hat, Alberta, Terri Clark is an 18-time Canadian Country Music Award winner, four-time Country Music Association Award winner and has been inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame. She is also the only Canadian female member of the iconic Grand Ole Opry. Clark’s many hit singles include, “Better Things To Do“, “If I Were You“, “Poor, Poor, Pitiful Me” and “In My Next Life“. Her upbeat music and energetic performance style are a perfect beginning to what will be a show filled with sensational stunts, performances by the talented Young Canadians and so much more.

“Spending my elementary years in Calgary, the Stampede Pancake Breakfast was always a must. I will never will forget how excited I was when I got to meet Buckshot!” Says Clark about some of her favourite Stampede memories. She adds, “These are my first shows in 18 months, and the feelings of nostalgia are at the forefront, as I am truly honored that my end to the pandemic is coming home, and playing the Grandstand Show at the Stampede. Full circle is real, and some things are just meant to be.”

High Valley, from the Hamlet of La Crête, Alberta, have twice been named Group of the Year at the Canadian Country Music Awards. A multi-platinum selling group, they have numerous chart-topping singles, including “Make You Mine“, “I Be U Be“, “Single Man” and “Grew Up on That“. The band’s signature bluegrass-tinted country will have you singing along with a smile on your face, and set the mood perfectly for the Evening Show performances to come.

“Growing up in Alberta, performing at the Calgary Stampede Grandstand Show has always been on the bucket list,” says High Valley’s Brad Rempel. “We are so excited to head back home and close out the last five days of the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth!”
