Days of ’47 Cowboy Games & Rodeo Will Ride Again in 2021

SALT LAKE CITY – After very careful consideration and interaction with local authorities the Days of ’47 Cowboy Games & Rodeo Board of Directors have determined that it is in the best interest of all to cancel the 2020 Days of ’47 Cowboy Games & Rodeo presented by Zions Bank.

“While this is a difficult announcement to share, we know it is the right thing to do at this time,” said Tommy Joe Lucia, General Manager. “There were several factors that went into our decision including if our fans and partners had the resources after these trying times to support the event as they have in the past, as we were unwilling to add additional economic pressure to those who have supported us for so long as well as the safety of all those involved to put on a world class event. With the current guidelines in place, we could not in good conscience continue to move forward with our July event.

“Our team will continue to explore concepts on how to salute our Pioneers during the Days of ’47 holiday week in a safe and fitting manner.”

Those who had purchased advanced tickets will automatically receive a refund to the credit card used for purchase. Please allow up to 10 working days to show on your account. For those who purchased tickets at a Smithtix location, please take the tickets directly to the Smith’s Store for a refund. If you purchased from a third party ticket seller, you will need to contact them for reimbursement.

The Days of ’47 Cowboy Games & Rodeo presented by Zions Bank, was scheduled for July 21-25, 2020 at the 10,000 seat Days of ’47 Arena at the Utah State Fairpark, in the heart of Salt Lake City.

While we are being sidelined this year like the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, know we will be ready to ride again in 2021. Mark your calendars now for July 20-24, 2021 and follow us on social media and at www.daysofcowboygames.com.
