Nashville Stampede Earn Stunning Walk-Off Win Against Missouri Thunder to Begin PBR Camping World Team Series Homestand With a Victory

Winless no more, Arizona Ridge Riders stun the previously undefeated Austin Gamblers during opening night of PBR Stampede Days.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The host Nashville Stampede for the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Camping World Team Series event inside Bridgestone Arena wowed their hometown crowd Friday as closer Silvano Alves delivered the team a walk-off win against the Missouri Thunder.
The 88-0 win marked the first of the season for the league’s defending Champion as they competed in Nashville for the first time since winning the 2022 PBR Teams Championship in Cinderella fashion.
The win concluded what was an enthralling night of competition that kept the electric crowd on the edge of its seats.
Earlier in the night, the Arizona Ridge Riders earned their first win of the season, as they knocked off the league No. 1 and previously undefeated Austin Gamblers. While Austin was shutout, it was a key 84.5-point score from Arizona’s Colten Fritzlan which cemented the win.
The league No. 2 and No. 3 Carolina Cowboys and Oklahoma Freedom went head-to-head for the first time in 2023, each entering the showdown with a matching 5-2 record. With each team making the 8 once, it was Thiago Salgado’s 86.75-point score which delivered the Freedom the 0.5-point win against Carolina, despite an 86.26-point effort from Carolina’s Cooper Davis.
In the highest scoring game of the night, the Texas Rattlers held off a hard-charging Kansas City Outlaws to begin Stampede Days with a win. Earning the victory 348.5-267.75, the Rattlers clinched the win compliments of a mammoth 90-point ride from closer Braidy Randolph.
Nashville Stampede Days continues Saturday, August 19 at 6:45 p.m. CDT. Tickets are still available and can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com and PBR.com, at the Bridgestone Arena Box Office, or by calling PBR customer service at 1-800-732-1727.
Surrounding the competition inside Bridgestone Arena, the team will continue to host the Stampede Street Party on Rep. John Lewis Way S between Broadway and Demonbreun. The Stampede Street Party will open at 10 a.m. CDT on Saturday, August 19. The day’s festivities will include musical performances by: Cody Hibbard (11 a.m.), Ariat presents The 615 House, featuring Diamond Dixie (2:15 p.m.), George Birge (3:15 p.m.), Chase McDaniel (4:15 p.m.), Logan Crosby (5:15 p.m.) and Austin McNeill (5:45 p.m.).

Texas Rattlers Defeat Kansas City Outlaws Via Crucial Walk-Off Score from Closer Braidy Randolph During Opening Night of PBR Camping World Team Series Game Play in Nashville, Tennessee

As the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Camping World Team Series event in Nashville, Tennessee, got underway, the action on the dirt was intense, as the Texas Rattlers, presented by Ariat, defeated the Kansas City Outlaws in walk-off fashion compliments of a mammoth 90-point ride from closer Braidy Randolph (Jonestown, Pennsylvania).
As the game got underway, the Outlaws looked to opener Wingson Henrique da Silva (Navirai, Brazil) aboard Spice (Flying C/Tom Baker). The surging Brazilian, however, was unable to convert early for his team, tossed in 3.04 seconds. In the bottom of the frame, Texas unexpectedly looked to Alvaro Ariel (Itumirim, Brazil) who was bumped up in the lineup after Joao Ricardo Vieira (Itatinga, Brazil) was awarded an early re-ride when his bull got out of the chutes early.
In the leadoff position for Texas, Ariel narrowly missed the requisite 8 atop Fat Randy (Jerry Tuttle/Davis Rodeo Ranch), hitting the ground in a heartbreaking 7.92 seconds. In the second, Cassio Dias (Sao F. de Sales) was awarded a re-ride for the Outlaws in the top of the frame as 44 Magnum (Hookin’ W Ranch) stumbled early out the chutes. Texas then turned to Brady Fielder (Clermont, Queensland, Australia) in the bottom of the second. Delivering the first score of the five-on-five showdown, the surging Aussie went the distance atop Freakin Wicked (Davis Rodeo Ranch/Ed & Cindy Fogle) to give his team an early 83.75-point lead.
Outlaws Captain Marcus Mast (Middlebury, Indiana) then looked to right his team’s momentum in the top of the third. Paired with Cliff Hanger (Pioneer Bulls/McCoy Rodeo), Mast remained in perfect time with the powerful animal athlete, matching him jump-for-jump en route to the 8 for 88.75 points. The crucial score gave the Outlaws a 5-point lead.
That lead, however, would be short lived. In the bottom of the third, Vieira covered re-ride draw Sugar Smack (Blake Sharp/Chris Utz/Carey Brothers) for 88 points to put his team back out front by 83 points. In the fourth, it was Bob Mitchell (Steelville, Missouri) for Kansas City, and Brady Oleson (Blackfoot, Idaho) for Texas. While Mitchell was unable to best Big Bank (Universal Pro Rodeo/Rachel & Dustin Powell) upended in 3.99 seconds, Oleson delivered Texas’ third consecutive score, marked 86.5 points atop Slip Knot (Davis Rodeo Ranch). The 8-second effort allowed Texas to grow their lead to two ride scores, 169.5 points.
As the final frame got underway, Leonardo Castro Ferreira (Cassilandia, Brazil) was in a must-ride position atop Flashbang (GN Livestock & Bucking Bulls/Lucas Manning Bucking Bulls). Rising to the occasion, Ferreira dominated his bovine athlete counterpart for 88 points to keep his team’s hope of victory alive and pulling them within 81.5 points of the game lead. With the Outlaws still having their re-ride attempt remaining, Randolph had the chance to clinch the game win early for the Rattlers should he make the 8. Paired with UTZ BesTex Smokestack (Blake Sharp/Chris Utz/Carey Brothers), Randolph not only reached the whistle to cement the win, but he did so in monster form, marked a mammoth 90.25 points.
While the Rattlers had already dealt Kansas City a loss, the Outlaws would not end the game in quiet form. As Dias burst from the chutes atop Tulsa Time (Kelly & Cami Heath/McCoy Rodeo), he brought the electric crowd to its feet as the clock ticked 8. The qualified ride was awarded a game-best 90.75 points.
When the dust settled, the Rattlers won 348.5-267.5. When PBR Stampede Days competition from Bridgestone Arena continues on Saturday, August 19, the Rattlers will seek their second consecutive win in the Volunteer State when they play the Arizona Ridge Riders, while Kansas City will look to rebound when they face off against the reigning Teams Champions and host Nashville Stampede.
Oklahoma Freedom Defeat the Carolina Cowboys by 0.5 Points to Overtake Their Rivals for the No. 2 Rank in the PBR Teams League

During the opening night of PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Camping World Team Series action in Nashville, Tennessee, the Oklahoma Freedom and Carolina Cowboys squared off for the first time this season, beginning the game with matching 5-2 records.
The then No. 3 Freedom proved the more resilient squad, defeating the Cowboys by 0.5 points to overtake Carolina for the league No. 2 rank. As the game got underway, the opening frame proved to be defining for the five-on-five showdown. Carolina looked to Josh Frost (Randlett, Utah) as their opener, while Oklahoma’s lead-off rider was Thiago Salgado (Navirai, Brazil). After Frost came down hard short of the 8 atop Mr. Excavator (Cornwell Bucking Bulls/PCP Bucking Bulls), Salgado delivered a resilient ride atop Rip Tide (Davis Rodeo Ranch) giving the Freedom an early 86.75-point lead.
Carolina, however, wouldn’t be silent for long. In the top of the second, 2016 PBR World Champion Cooper Davis (Jasper, Texas) covered Kevin (Paige Stout/Lukas Banning Bucking Bulls) for 86.25 points to pull his team within 0.5 points of the lead. In the bottom, Oklahoma was unable to continue their early momentum as Elizmar Jeremias (Anapu, Brazil) was tossed in 6.26 seconds by JAG Metals Hard Way (Paige Stout Bucking Bulls/Philip Elkins).
The scoreboard then went unchanged throughout both the third and fourth, setting up a high-pressure fifth. In the closer role for Carolina, Boudreaux Campbell (Crockett, Texas) found himself in a must-ride position atop Commander (Universal Pro Rodeo/Rachel & Dustin Powell). Campbell, however, came up short for his team, hitting the ground in 4.63 seconds.
With the victory in hand, Derek Kolbaba (Walla Walla, Washington) was last out for Oklahoma. While Kolbaba was unsuccessful atop Bomb Diggity (Davis Rodeo Ranch), brought down in 2.63 seconds, the Freedom still concluded the night victorious, upsetting the Cowboys by 0.5 points, 86.75-86.25.
The Oklahoma Freedom will look to continue their momentum during the second night of PBR Stampede Days at Bridgestone Arena on Saturday, Aug. 19 when they take on the Missouri Thunder, while the Carolina Cowboys will seek their first win in Music City when they play the league No. 1 Austin Gamblers.
Winless No More, Arizona Ridge Riders Upset PBR Teams No. 1 and Previously Undefeated Austin Gamblers During Opening Camping World Team Series Game in Nashville, Tennessee

In a David vs. Goliath showdown, the Arizona Ridge Riders are winless no more in 2023 PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Camping World Team Series competition, upsetting the league No. 1 and previously undefeated Austin Gamblers during the opening night of Stampede Days.
While the game began in less-than-ideal fashion for both rosters, as neither Arizona nor Austin made the eight through the first three frames, the game took a crucial turn in the fourth. In the top of the fourth it was Colten Fritzlan (Rifle, Colorado) out for Arizona atop American Valor (Ryan and Rick Mitchell/McCoy Rodeo). In what proved to be a perfect pairing, Fritzlan made the requisite 8 atop the powerful animal athlete, marked a critical 84.5 points, giving his team their first lead of the game.
Keen to match the momentum, the Gamblers continued to stumble in the bottom of the frame as Austin Richardson (Dallas, Texas) was upended in 5.02 seconds by American You (Universal Pro Rodeo/Rachel & Dustin Powell).
In the fifth, Davi Henrique de Lima (Candido Mota, Brazil) had the chance to clinch the game early for Arizona, matched up against Roc Wit It (K-C Bucking Bulls/JoZ Bucking Bulls). Lima, however, failed to convert, bested in 2.79 seconds and opening the door for the league No. 1 Gamblers to win the game in walk-off fashion.
Austin then looked to closer, reigning PBR Teams MVP and two-time PBR World Champion Jose Vitor Leme (Ribas do Rio Pardo, Brazil). In uncharacteristic form, Leme was brought down by Wild Card (Blake Sharp/UB Buckin’ Company) in a quick 3.91 seconds, delivering the win to the Arizona Ridge Riders, the team’s first game win of the 2023 season.
The loss also marked the first of the season for Austin, who won their first seven consecutive games of the year. The Arizona Ridge Riders will attempt to continue their winning ways on the second night of PBR Stampede Days when they play the Texas Rattlers, while the Austin Gamblers will look to regain their winning form when they play the Carolina Cowboys.
Nashville Stampede Wins First Game of 2023 PBR Camping World Team Series Season with Walk-Off Victory Against Missouri Thunder on Opening Night of Squad’s Homestand in Tennessee

In the most thrilling game of the evening, the host Nashville Stampede for the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Camping World Team Series event inside Bridgestone Arena, earned their first game win of the season, defeating the Missouri Thunder in walk-off form compliments of a fifth-frame score from three-time PBR World Champion Silvano Alves (Pilar do Sul, Brazil).
The game began with a series of heartbreaking buckoffs as neither team converted in the first four frames. The lack of scores set up a crucial fifth frame. Leading off was the Missouri Thunder’s Kade Madsen (Honeyville, Utah) aboard Moonlight Party (Jane Clark/Gene Owen). Madsen, however, was unable to prevent his team from being shutout as he was tossed in 2.47 seconds.
The buckoff set up a familiar position for Stampede closer Alves. In 2022, Alves found himself in a familiar position when he delivered a Nashville win in the bottom of the fifth against the Texas Rattlers. This Friday, all that stood between Alves and once again being his team’s hero was Wicked Ways (Mike Miller Bucking Bulls).
Bursting from the chutes, Alves remained in perfect time with the powerful animal athlete as the clock ticked 8 and the crowd erupted in wild cheer. While the league officials sent the out to review, it was quickly determined to be a score, good for 88 points and Nashville’s first win of the season.
The Stampede will look to keep their perfect record at their homestand intact on Saturday, Aug. 19 when they play the Kansas City Outlaws, while Missouri will look to rebound against the Oklahoma Freedom.
