The Fall Round Up Festival Offers Family Fun

TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW; SAVE ON CARNIVAL RIDES UNTIL OCTOBER 11th

SALINAS, CA – The California Rodeo Salinas is hosting the second annual Fall Round Up Festival October 12th – 15th at the Salinas Sports Complex. The event is presented by Brent Eastman Insurance Services, Inc., and will feature a carnival, food trucks, live music, a pumpkin patch, children’s activities, and more. Admission tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for children ages 2-12. Tickets are on sale online only at https://www.carodeo.com/events/2023/fall-round-up. The Ticket Office will open at 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 12th for walk-up sales. Read below for ways to save on unlimited carnival ride wristbands and children’s admission tickets.

There will be a costume contest held daily, at 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday nights and at 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, on the main entertainment stage. Prizes will be given for 1st through 3rd place with 2 age categories: newborn to 6 years old and 7 to 12 years old. Food vendors will be located on the midway and include Sabor Latin Fusion, Ivan’s Baked Potato, Showoff Barbecue, Capitol Concessions, Lupita’s Carnitas, Kuki’s LLC, Barbacoas Hueramo, Café Con Leche, Faby’s Creations, Fruit Rider, and Oli’s Cheesesteaks. The California Rodeo Salinas will sell official Rodeo souvenirs, but there will be no other merchandise vendors this year. There will also be adult beverages from Alvarado Brewery and Crown Royal for sale.

The main attraction will be the carnival featuring rides for teens/older children and “kiddie” rides for younger children. Unlimited ride wristbands are available for $30 + fees until October 11th. The price increases to $40 + fees on October 12th. Purchase online through October 11th and onsite starting at 4 pm on October 12th. This year’s rides will include Expo Wheel, EKG, Rip Cord, Starship, Scooters, Magic Dragon, Slide, Crystal Lil’s, New York, Swinger, MGR, Ski Doo, Sky Fighter, Wrecking Ball, Speed Boats, Loop-O-Plane, and Pirates Cove.

The entertainment available in the Kids’ Activity Area is presented by Elli’s and Black Bear Diner and is included with admission; the area will have face painting, inflatables, and more. Get a free kids’ ticket for the Fall Round Up Festival with the purchase of a kids’ meal at Elli’s Great American Restaurant or Black Bear Diner in Salinas.**

Music is also included with admission; the music lineup includes The Edge Band on Thursday, October 12th, The Money Band on Friday, October 13th, The Kindred Soul Band on Saturday, October 14th, and Samz School of Rock on Sunday, October 15th. The entertainment stage is presented by Sturdy Oil.

Pumpkins will be available for purchase at the pumpkin patch, presented by Carlon’s Fire & Safety, at the south end of the midway; a pumpkin shuttle, sponsored by MYCars.com, will take people with purchased pumpkins to the parking lot. There will be a complimentary painting station in the children’s activity area with paints to decorate recently purchased pumpkins.
