PRCA Standings Shuffle: Paul Eaves Makes Jump Inside Top 15

It’s been three years since heeler Paul Eaves made his last trip to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.

The two-time PRCA World Champion (2018, 2020) has his sights set on returning to Las Vegas this December. A strong stretch of rodeo over the Cowboy Christmas run has him in a prime position to do just that.

Eaves and partner Erich Rogers earned a big chunk of change over that stretch, highlighted by the team pocketing $20,327 each at the Ponoka Stampede. Those earnings moved Eaves up 13 spots in the PRCA | RAM World Standings to ninth with $51,372 won in 2023, Rogers is sitting 10th as of July 12.

He was the highest riser in the standings from June 27-July 10.

This is the first season Eaves and Rogers have teamed up on the ProRodeo road. A year ago, the Lonedell, Mo., cowboy roped with partner Chad Masters and finished just outside the Top 15 at 18th.
