Students May Apply Through Hartnell College or the Community Foundation for Monterey County
SALINAS, CA – After distributing over $30,000 in educational funds in 2022, the California Rodeo looks forward to again assisting students with their goals. The California Rodeo Association has been supporting youth education since 1986 when a scholarship program was established with Hartnell College. Salinas Valley high school students who are attending or graduating from Hartnell College can apply for the Hartnell scholarship starting in January. The scholarship program run through Community Foundation for Monterey County allows students who are California Rodeo Salinas Committee Members or related to Committee Members to apply and use the scholarship money to attend any college or other post high school education program, including trade school. The Hartnell scholarship program will award continuing Hartnell students $2,500 and transferring students $5,000. The Community Foundation Rodeo scholarship programs will award multiple $5,000 scholarships.
